REALLY????

Ok... had to have Paul take the "what holiday are you?" quiz. Here's the result. It was good for a laugh!! He is so NOT romantic (ok, he has his moments)or sentimental. However, he is warm hearted, and does find it easy to care for people

You Are Valentine's Day

You are a true romantic who places the ultimate importance on love.

You are warm hearted, and you find it easy to care for people.

Love is what drives you - and you have a love to give.

You enjoy making someone's day. You're full of surprises.

What makes you celebrate: Being with the person you love on a special day

At holiday get togethers, you do best as: The sentimental one

On a holiday, you're the one most likely to: See it as romantic and special

Spring??

According to the calendar, it has been spring for 11 days. However, when you look out the window today it is hard to tell! Here's a view from my kitchen window.

It has been snowing all day today. But..... as you can see, the robins have returned. So it must be spring!

This was fun.

I've seen this quiz on a few blogs and thought it was fun. Besides, I liked the results:

You Are Thanksgiving

You are a bit of a homebody who enjoys being in the company of people you love.

It doesn't take a lot to make you happy. You're enjoying life as it is.

You have many blessings in your life, and you are grateful for each one.

You believe that life is about what you *do* have. You feel like you have enough of the good stuff.

What makes you celebrate: Family, friends, and the changing of the seasons.

At holiday get togethers, you do best as: The host of the party

On a holiday, you're the one most likely to: Spend so much energy preparing that it's a full time job

Easter

I hope you all had a blessed Easter with your families and friends. Ours was wonderful. As we headed out to church Saturday evening it seemed a little more like Christmas, with beautiful thick snow flakes falling to the ground; but, once we entered the church and participated in the Easter Vigil Mass there was no mistaking that Lent is once again behind us and we rejoice in the risen Christ.

Each year on Good Friday we try to do a "cross" craft. This year we decorated wood crosses with broken glass pieces. The kids really enjoyed it and the crosses turned out wonderful.

We spent Easter weekend with my family. Here are some pictures as we were getting ready to head to the Easter Vigil Saturday night.
(Unfortunately, Lloyd opted out of the photo shoot.)

Sunday was spent at my sister's house enjoying a wonderful dinner. The kids hunted for Easter eggs, played, and ate candy while the adults visited. All and all, it was a very pleasant day. On our way home Sunday evening, we spotted at least 32 deer. Here is one group I was able to catch a photo of. The second group run off before I was able to snap the picture.

And, as you can see here, we were blessed with a beautiful sunset.

It's Monday and the kids are still hiding plastic Easter eggs and sharing candy. The sun is shining brightly and the snow is melting. God is so very good to us!

Locks of Love

Madison finally had enough hair to do a "locks of love" cut. She did it once before, three years ago wanted to do it again. She really enjoyed her short haircut and it was hard for her to wait; but, wait she did. And today she is really enjoying her new look.

How sweet it is....

to hear the priest say the words
"Your sins are forgiven. Go in peace."
The peace that fills the soul is such a sweet balm to a heavy heart!

Sniff, Cough, Sniff, Sniff, & Cough some more.

Well.... thankfully Lawrence's fever broke yesterday! He is up and around most of the time. (He still needs those frequent moments of climbing on mom's lap to get a good cuddle while he coughs into my shoulder and wipes his nose on my shirt if I fail to catch it soon enough!) There are three of us (yes, including Mom) still hanging on to a cough and runny noses! After about a month of this.... I AM READY FOR SPRING and a nice LONG nap!

Life seen through the eyes of a four year old!

This is what Lawrence thought was photograph worthy while he had the camera in hand the other day! Now this once happy go lucky little guy is sick! All night long and all day today we have been nursing a fever (103.3 - 104.5)
Prayers that he is soon back on his feet, being as silly as ever, would be greatly appreciated!
